I have 30+ years’ experience in education: 22 years in middle leadership and 14 in senior leadership, including 10 as Headteacher/ Principal. Once-upon-a-time an English teacher, I am still passionate about real learning and am a firm proponent of an education system characterised by academic rigour, honesty and integrity. Currently Principal of an Outstanding VIth form college. Ran an academy judged among the 100 most improved schools in the country. Called "fabulous" by Dame Alison Peacock (CE of the Chartered College of Teaching), my leadership was described as "inspirational" in the House of Commons (citations available for both). Author 'The Death of Teaching" articles in Sec-Ed magazine.
