Stuart has worked for the last 16 years as a Senior Leader in two outstanding sixth form colleges in the north of England. Prior to this he has been a Head of Department in an 11-18 Comprehensive School in Shropshire and worked as a GCSE Geography coursework moderator, an A-level examiner and a staff trainer for a teacher training provider. As a Local Leader of Education and Director of the New Collaborative Teaching School, Stuart has supported senior leaders in improving outcomes for learners in schools and colleges across the region through a number of school to school improvement projects. He has also developed a number of innovative and successful training programmes for teachers and senior leaders. Stuart has overseen the strategic development of teaching, learning and assessment at New College Pontefract. He is currently replicating the success of this model in New College Doncaster through a trust-wide programme of continuing professional development that is frequent, sustained, and evidence-based. New College Bradford will offer a similar distinctive post-16 pedagogy based on high quality teaching and independent learning to deliver outstanding student outcomes. |
