Julie Kapsalis, who joined the college a year ago, has been leading the college in an interim capacity for the past six months, including through an Ofsted inspection which saw Nescot rated as ‘Good’ in every judgement area. Julie added: “I am thrilled by my appointment and to have the full support and endorsement of our Governing Body. I grew up just outside Epsom, so I’ve known the college for many years, and it is an honour and privilege to now lead this institution. Prior to Nescot, Julie was Deputy CEO at Chichester College Group – one of the largest Further Education Groups in the country. Julie has twenty years’ experience in economic development, skills and enterprise, including senior leadership at two colleges and working on the London 2012 Olympics. In addition to her role at Nescot, Julie chairs the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership. She is passionate about social mobility and equality and diversity, and in 2022 her work in this area was recognised by awards from the Institute of Directors, Gatwick Diamond Business and Dynamic magazine. https://www.nescot.ac.uk/news/nescot-appoints-new-ceo-and-principal.html |
