Janet Meenaghan

Janet’s career in education has spanned almost 30 years, most of this working in further education colleges, but including nine years as a university lecturer and two years working for the Learning and Skills Council on FE strategy and partnerships. Janet is a passionate advocate for education – she has always valued the breadth of provision offered by FE and the opportunities this provides for learners from all backgrounds. She has delivered and managed many different types of programme, from first steps courses, through apprenticeships and A Levels, to higher level diplomas and degrees, and has served two terms of office as a school governor.

Janet joined Stamford College in September 2015 from Selby College in North Yorkshire, graded ​‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, where she was Deputy Principal for 4 years.
