Sarbdip Noonan |
Sarbdip was brought up, went to school and has spent most of her working life in colleges in London and this has given her great empathy and understanding of the local communities where she works. She graduated with an Honours Degree in Combined Science in 1986, and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education to become a qualified teacher the following year. In 2007, she achieved a Diploma in Management Studies. Her professional career covers the full span of 11 years to Adult education and training, encompassing both the School and Further Education (FE) sectors, along with working as a Local Authority Officer for Essex County Council. She has worked as a science teacher and Head of Department in schools and colleges, as an Executive Director of Pre-16 schools, a Vice Principal in three colleges, and became Principal of Stanmore College in 2016. She also carried out college inspections for 15 years as a part-time Ofsted Inspector. As a mother of three children, she is very aware of the challenges that face all young people in the twenty-first century. |
